Derived from the Indian Screw Tree (Helicteres isora), a small tree native to Southern Asia and Northern Oceania, Twisty Pods are dried fruits that offer both aesthetic appeal and functional benefits for your aquarium. These intriguing pods release tannins that can lower the pH level of your water, creating an ideal environment for species such as tetras, discus, and angelfish. The natural tannins also simulate the fishes' natural habitats, promoting their growth and overall health.

Measuring approximately 2 – 5cm in length, Twisty Pods are perfect for nano aquariums but can also enhance larger tanks by adding detail and complexity. Due to their natural origin, variations in shape and size can be expected. Durable and long-lasting, these pods do not decompose quickly and are free from harmful substances, ensuring they are safe for fish, shrimp, and other aquatic inhabitants.

Twisty Pods serve as natural grazing spots for shrimps, snails, and invertebrates, providing essential nutrition. They can be creatively used alone or combined with other botanicals and driftwood to craft intricate and stunning designs reminiscent of wild habitats.
